Interpersonal Violence Prevention
Wake Forest University is committed to providing a campus free of interpersonal violence. Examples of interpersonal violence include but are not limited to, concerns related to dating or relationship violence, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and stalking.
Addressing Interpersonal Violence
Wake Forest University works deliberately to create a comprehensive approach by utilizing multiple offices to ensure high-quality and trauma-informed prevention programming and support services broken down into three main components.
Rape Aggression Defence (RAD)
Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) is a comprehensive self-defense course designed for women which combines physical techniques and common-sense crime prevention methods. WFU Police Department employees have been trained and certified to be RAD instructors.
Victim Support
The University Police Department’s Victim Support Program was established to provide these services to anyone who may become a victim of crime while on the campus. The Victim Support Program maintains close working relationships with other local and state victim service providers.
