Where do I get the WFU Safer Campus App?
Answer: Download to your smartphone today at the Google Play Store or Apple iTunes.
Will this App work on my phone?
Answer: Currently the WFU Safer Campus App supports Apple and Android operating systems. The App will not work on a Windows Phone at this time.
What do I do if I forget my password?
Answer: In order to reset your password, you press the Forgot Password button at the beginning of the app and it emails the password to you.
Can I use any email address to register with the WFU Safer Campus App?
Answer: No, you may only use your active WFU email address to register your account. DO NOT USE YOUR WFU PASSWORD. The phone app has its own password system which is not linked to WFU for security reasons. Once you have registered, you will receive an email from your WFU email account to confirm your registration. Click on the link in the email to activate your account.
Will I get an immediate reply when I chat online through the WFU Safer Campus App?
Answer: There may be a delay in a response due to call volume in the Communications Center. If you do have an emergency, you should call 336.758.5911 if you are on campus, otherwise you should call 911.
Why should I use Chat and what are appropriate topics for the chat function with WFU Police?
Answer: The Chat feature was designed to communicate with any user that needs help or information and cannot call 911.
How do I end a chat session?
Answer: Just scroll to the top of the chat section screen on the WFU Safer Campus App and click on the Red X to end the session.
What Is Submitting a Tip For?
Answer: Submitting a Tip is for reporting any suspicious activity with confidence and security. It is not to be used in an emergency. If there is an emergency, Call 911.
