WFU Police Department Monthly Awareness Theme
In addition to being visible and available, each month you will see the WFU Resource Officers sharing information about a particular topic or theme with a poster campaign. Students are assisting the development and design of these posters to heighten awareness of a particular concern. For example:
- October – “Drive Safely”
Tips to making good decisions regarding driving safety in unfamiliar areas. - November – “Think Responsibly”
Tips to making good decisions regarding alcohol and personal safety. - December – “Home for the Holidays”
Tips to securing your things you leave behind and travel safety. - January – “Protect your Investment”
How to register all your new items you got for Christmas to minimize theft and increase chances of recovery if stolen. - February – “Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness”
Facts about social life on college campuses. - March – “Safe Break”
Tips for safe travel and to having an enjoyable Spring Break. - April – “Identity Theft”
Tips on protecting our identity. - Summer – “Summertime Alcohol Use”
Also called Seasonality Use – Drinking alcoholic drinks can cause us to lose perspective and take unnecessary risks.
