Travel Safety Orientations Schedule
A travel safety orientation is required for all Wake Forest University faculty, staff, and students traveling out of the U.S. on university sponsored business.  Travel Safety orientations are scheduled all year long.   To find the next class please check the WIN announcement page.  You may also call Bruce Sanspree at 336.758.3567.

The university requires all faculty, staff, students, volunteer and service groups who are traveling overseas for either study or business to attend a Travel Safety Orientation.  Faculty traveling with a group of students may request a group orientation.

Students registered for traditional study abroad programs through the office of International Studies will be notified by that program about required meetings.  Attendance at that meeting will meet the universities requirement for safety orientation.

Topics to be covered:
·  Travel safety
·  Planning for emergencies
·  WFU International travel registration
·  Traveling with research equipment
·  Special letters for student documentation
·  Contacting the University in an emergency
·  State department registration and webpage

Written information will be provided.  Faculty will receive additional written information as well as an overseas crisis plan if applicable.
